About Esgenix

The agentic patent workflow platform

Esgenix runs the work of a patent practice: prior art search, freedom to operate, landscape and white space analysis, invalidity, and filing-ready drafting. Specialist AI agents produce every piece of it, and the attorney directs the work and approves every substantive output. Nothing leaves the platform without a person's approval.

A colleague that produces, not a copilot that suggests

Most AI tools for patent work are copilots. They sit beside the attorney while the attorney writes, suggesting text one section at a time. The attorney is present for every paragraph, prompting, accepting, correcting. An assistant that saves half your drafting time still consumes the other half of it.

Esgenix takes a different bet. The platform runs the work itself, gate by gate, and puts a decision in front of the attorney at each gate. Give it an invention disclosure and the agents search the art, plan the claims, write the specification, draw the figures, and grade the whole result against attorney standards. About an hour of machine work sits between your decisions. You review the output the way you would review a senior colleague's draft: you set the strategy, you challenge what comes back, you approve it, and you never typed a paragraph.

That is the meaning of agentic in our name. The software plans the whole job, breaks it into steps, does each step, and checks its own work before bringing anything to you. Human involvement is not reduced. It is moved from paragraph assembly to the decisions worth an attorney's time.

One platform for the whole patent question

Esgenix began with drafting and grew into the platform around it, because the questions a patent team asks are never just about one draft. Is this invention new? Can the product ship without walking into someone else's live claim? Where is the technology area thinly patented, and what else should we be filing while we are here? Can this granted claim that blocks us be knocked out?

Today those questions are usually answered by separate tools, bought by separate teams, delivered weeks apart. On Esgenix they are answered in the same place, against the same corpus of 220 million patents from 108 jurisdictions and more than 100 million research papers, and the answers feed each other. The search that clears your invention informs the claims that get drafted. The clearance map that flags a risk changes the claim strategy while the claims are still soft. The white space study tells you what to file next, and the drafting queue is one click away.

Where the human sits

Five gates, five decisions, all yours

Human in the loop is a claim every vendor makes, so we name the gates instead. A gate is a point where the workflow stops and waits for the attorney's decision. There are five per application, and every one of them is checkable on a demo.

  1. Gate 01

    Intake

You confirm the invention as the agents understood it, answer the technical gap flags they raise, and set the target jurisdictions.

  2. Gate 02

    Strategy

You set claim breadth on the scope slider and choose fallback positions, with the closest prior art already in the session.

  3. Gate 03

    Claims

You approve, amend, or re-run the claim set. Nothing proceeds without this decision.

  4. Gate 04

    Specification & Figures

You review the full draft with provenance visible on every claim element and figures reconciled numeral by numeral against the text.

  5. Gate 05

    Final Approval

Your final review. The filing-ready package leaves the platform only with your approval, carrying a full audit trail.

How it is built

An adversarial council, not a single model

Esgenix is a multi-agent, multi-LLM system. Different specialist agents on different underlying models handle each part of the job, argue with each other's output, and are graded by an independent judge before anything reaches you.

A council of specialist agents

Search, claims, description, figures, and review are handled by different AI agents running on different underlying models. The component that writes the claims is never the one that grades them, so errors are more likely to be caught.

An independent quality gate

A separate judge model grades every draft against the standards a senior patent attorney would apply: antecedent basis, consistent terminology, support for every limitation, and prose that reads like drafting. Work that fails is rewritten before you ever see it.

Provenance on every claim element

Each element of each claim carries an identifier pointing to the exact passage of the invention disclosure it came from. Verifying support becomes a two-minute check instead of a suspicion.

Technical gap detection with fixes

The agents read the disclosure the way an examiner will and flag what is missing: an unexplained step, an undefined term, a result with no mechanism. Each flag arrives with a proposed fix, at intake, before the drafting begins.

The scope slider

Claim breadth is a control you drag, not a rewrite you commission. The claim set regenerates as you move it, so exploring three breadth positions costs seconds rather than three claim sets by hand.

Figures drawn from the specification

No baseline sketch is required. The system decides what the figure set should be, draws it, and reconciles every reference numeral against the text, so the drawings and the description cannot drift apart.

Drafting profiles

A stored profile holds a house style: structure, terminology, claim conventions, formatting. Every agent is obliged to follow it, so consistency across matters does not depend on policing it in review.

Practice-native output

Applications are drafted to the conventions of the target office from the start, native to US, European, and Indian practice rather than translated from one into the others.

What we believe

The principles the product is built on

Verification cannot be delegated, so make it fast

A person is responsible for everything that is filed. A tool that hands an attorney fluent prose with no audit trail has given them the work and withheld the means of checking it. Provenance, gap flags, and named approval gates exist so a practitioner can discharge a duty they cannot hand to a machine.

Depth before breadth

Winning this category means going deep on the work itself: search that feeds the claims, figures that match the specification, provenance on every element. Breadth follows from depth. It does not substitute for it.

Human involvement moves, it does not shrink

A copilot puts the attorney in the loop dozens of times per application, at the level of the paragraph. Esgenix puts the attorney in the loop five times per application, at the level of the decision. The judgement is the same. It is spent where it is worth an attorney's time.

Pay for outcomes, not seats

Esgenix is priced per matter delivered, across tiers, rather than per person per year. Cost tracks filings, not headcount, which is the structure an in-house team can put in a budget line and defend.

The company

Built by people who have drafted patents

Esgenix is built by Syncinvent Labs Private Limited, headquartered in Bengaluru, India, by a team of patent practitioners, AI architects, and technologists with 65 years of combined drafting experience. The five gates, the provenance model, and the review standards are not abstractions borrowed from software. They come from people who have drafted, prosecuted, and been embarrassed by office actions themselves.

The platform is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified for information security management, covering the platform and the handling of invention data. Customer data is never used to train models, and an optional local-only encrypted Data Vault is available for highly sensitive matters.

Commercially, Esgenix is outcome-driven. You pay per matter delivered, across tiers, rather than per seat per year, so a small in-house team supervising a large filing program is never paying for licenses it used twice.

Common questions

Esgenix, answered plainly

What is Esgenix?

Esgenix is an agentic patent workflow platform. Specialist AI agents, running on different underlying models, search the prior art, build the analysis, draft the claims and description, generate the figures, and grade the result. The attorney directs the work and approves every substantive output at five named gates. More than 1,000 patents have been drafted on the platform.

Is Esgenix only a drafting tool?

No. Drafting is one of seven offerings. The platform also runs prior art search across 220 million patents from 108 jurisdictions and more than 100 million research papers, freedom-to-operate analysis with clearance reports and risk registers, state-of-the-art studies, white space analysis, and invalidity analysis against granted claims. Esgenix also delivers managed services using the same platform.

Does Esgenix replace patent attorneys?

No. The workflow stops at five gates and waits for the attorney's decision at each: intake, strategy, claims, specification and figures, and final approval. Nothing is filed, exported, or sent without a person's approval. The platform moves production off the attorney without moving a single decision off the attorney.

How does Esgenix keep invention data secure?

Esgenix is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified for information security management, covering the platform and the handling of invention data. Customer data is never used to train models, and an optional local-only encrypted Data Vault is available for highly sensitive matters.
